Psychology taught me how to read evidence, question assumptions, and sit with uncertainty. It did not teach me to train models or deploy Django apps.
So I'm learning — slowly, with tutorials, small projects, and a lot of googling.
What's actually hard
- The math gap (I'm closing it bit by bit)
- Knowing which skills matter vs. hype
- Connecting ML concepts to human behaviour questions I actually care about
What's helping
- Building tiny projects instead of endless courses
- Writing notes when I understand something (and when I don't)
- Talking to other learners instead of comparing myself to experts online
If you're on a similar path, I'm happy to compare notes.
